Hello all,
I am hoping that someone can help me out. I am trying to view some photos that I have saved to CD, however I am getting an error message"the CD Rom drive is currently open. Does anybody know how I can fix this problem so I can view my photos?
Thanks,
Jim
I OS is Windows XP Home SP3

Did you try the CD on another computer?
-
Broni,
Yes I did. I get the same message. I know the disks work, because I have viewed them in the past.
-
Well, if CD doesn't work on two computers, then there is something wrong with the CD.
-
I have tried several of them..............at least 5. I can't believe they are all bad
-
This may be because the CD's were not finalised when they were burned...
DLoad the FREE edition of IsoBuster which will allow you to view/extract the files for burning over properly...
-
These are the disks that were provided by the company that printed the pictures. I have viewed the disks several times.

You have to realize, that CD don't last forever.
Are you sure about this message: the CD Rom drive is currently open, because I've never seen a message like this before.
-
Broni,
Yes that is the message I am getting. As far as the disks not lasting forever.......I agree, however; these are only a few months old
