Title: no system idle process
Post by: danwalker on April 25, 2009, 12:59:33 AM
Hi,

I've noticed from task manager that there is no system idle process running. Is this a problem and if so how to resolve it?

OS is Vista

I just looked Task Manager in my Vista laptop computer and it also shows no system idle process.  This appears to be a difference between Vista and previous versions of Windows, so I don't think it's a problem.

I personally have XP, but my friend has Vista. Normally he can only see processes from his login, but not system processes. He looks for processes from ALL logins and then he can see system processes.

I now have it, too.  I discovered that the checkbox for "Show processes from all users" must be checked in order for System Idle Process to be displayed.

Exactly what I just said.
