Post by: louven on August 24, 2007, 07:13:57 AM
Last night when I turn on my pc I got this problem, first it goes to log-in window but it freeze so I decided to unplug the power, when I  plug it back and turn on the computer it does nothing at all, the monitor says "no input" I tried to check the monitor connection but it all connected properly, I open the case to check, the fan is working, the hard drive is running, there are lights on it, meaning the power supply works. What do you think is the problem? Thank you.

first don't unplug unless it absolutely nessesary. you can hold power button in for lik 10 seconds and it turns off.

as to your problem you might have fried something unlikely i must say but possible

try mix and matching things with a spare computer.

Remove all power sources and re-seat the video card...
Do some housekeeping while your in there with a can of compressed air.
Use a QTip to hold the fan blades in place when blasting them clean. Not taking this precaution can ruin many fans.

As always whenever inside the case take the neccessary anti-static precautions.
