This is the AutoComplete facility in Internet Explorer, presumably.  Are some of your searches rather - er - incriminating?  ;)

You can switch it off.  Tools-->Internet Options-->Advanced.

You will need to restart IE after running ccleaner.

Nope. Ive done it a million times. Never worked for me and still refuses too. If you go to that site though, it will tell you how to completly remove the auto forms. Its sweet.

Though I could have some option that is supposed to be unselected that is causing it to not work. Ive always had EVERYTHING selected on it though.

That's strange, where are you searching from, the google page, the IE address bar or a google toolbar?

The google page. Even if you have the toolbar, it doesnt matter. You cant do any searches from the address bar. *searches* meaning searching for something that is unkown. When you type something into the address search, its going directly to the address. I dont know if you can really consider that a search.

I must have something set in my browser to 'not remember' google searches, I never see a dropdown.
You can search from the IE address bar. IE>Tools>Internet Options>Advanced
Ccleaner sure does remove searches from the google toolbar.

I never use it to search from the IE address bar because you loose the page you were on.
I search from a google toolbar search thingie, it creates a new page for the reults.

Thanks for trying to help. I have been into internet options >> advanced.. but dont know which box to uncheck or check !! by the way I am searching from the Google search,.. not the tool-bar or address bar.. I thought the address bar had to have http://www in front.. which is an adress. or am I wrong here.? fact remains I still have the problem, and have thought about the ccleaner,.. but rather have the facility stopped, so I don't have to delete again and again. There must be a check-box in advanced which I have to change.?
                      THANK FOR HELPING... Talisman

I guess it was something I set in my own IE a long time ago, I don't even remember seeing the Google page with a drop down menu.
Keep ccleaner, it is a good program, much faster than disk cleanup.
