Im trying to help a friend install xp pro on his pc. Its been quite a while since ive monkeyd around with windows. I've been stuck on Linux for a good while. My question is what are the steps to change my Internet preferences from dial up to wireless. It's an old Dell inspirion 6000 and the default is an MSN dial up. I'm lost

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. On the IE menu bar, click Tools, then Internet Options
3. Under the Internet Option dialog box, click the Connections tab and then the LAN Settings button.
Then click apply or ok and it should now be looking for a LAN connection through an ethernet Network adapter out to the internet.
