Title: Vista and separate lanuguas for each user
Post by: MIRKOSOFT on August 29, 2019, 08:24:47 PM
Hi!

I need to install Windows Vista and don't know if it supports for each user possible to display separate languages. So, is possible for example for user1 have language English and for user2 German language.
I know it was not yet supported maybe, but maybe it is supported.
So, is possible to use separate languages between users?

Thank you for your support.

Microsoft no longer supports Vista.
You may consider going to Windows 10.

Found something of interest, if anybody else comes here and looks at this post. Even though the Microsoft answer information linked below says it's applicable to windows 10, maybe the steps are similar in older versions of windows (if you really insist on running an older operating system not supported by Microsoft now or will not be supported in the near future)

Seems like the instructions were for setting up two accounts on same computer with one displaying in English while the other shows in Japanese.

Thanks for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

As per your query, I like to inform you that; yes, you can set wife's user account in Japanese language.

You need to change the default language as Japanese in your wife’s account and English as default language in your own account.

Follow the below link:

1) Login to your wife’s account.

2) Type settings in the search area on the task bar and select Settings.

3) Select Time and language.

4) Select Region and Language from the left panel.

5) Click on Add language.

6) Add the Japanese language from the given list.

7) Click on the Japanese language and click on Set as Default button.

Repeat the same steps in your account also, just set English as default language.

I know that on new version of Windows it goes.
I need to know if is it possible on Vista.
Why I selected Vista: I found old laptop an it is not possible to run there full Windows 7.
XP is not enough, so this is my choice for hardware possibilities.
XP features also nothing like is in question.
