Title: Opt-in email form help?

Ok... I'm trying to figure out how to create an html form to allow folks to enter their email for me to send them updates and such. Can anyone help me out with how to do this?

I know how to write a basic form, it's collecting email addresses I'm having problems with.  ???

You can do it with PHP in combination with a MySQL database.
