Title: Nvidia Geforce 7300 Video Card No Signal Troubles
Post by: w4yn3 on June 10, 2009, 08:03:37 AM
Hey everyone, this is my first post, just hoping somebody could help me.  :( I've just purchased a Nvidia Geforce GS 7300 video card for my Foxconn P4M9007MB Series motherboard. I've inserted the graphics card into the graphics card slot and closed the case.

I'm not sure whether I had to plug anything from or onto the graphics card since it didn't come with any cables or wires or anything. I then inserted the VGA monitor cable into the graphics card monitor cable slot and turned the tower/monitor on. The tower worked but there was no beep and the monitor said 'no signal' and the light on the monitor turned to orange instead of the usual blue.

The new graphics card I am using is the first graphics card to be placed into the graphics card slot on my motherboard, as I think the current graphics card is integrated on my motherboard or something.  ???

Also, I read about the PSU fan have too low a wattage? I'm not sure how to find out the wattage of my PSU fan.  :-X

So all help explaining how to install the graphics card/get rid of the no signal message on my monitor would help tremendously.

Thank you in advance.

By the way, I'm using Windows Vista.

Is there a 4 pin slot on the card for a power plug ? ?

Hey patio. The only slot there is is an 11 pin slot which has a cable from the monitor port going into it.

OK it would be on the card itself...not outside the case...
Double check to be sure.

No other pin slots my friend. I've just realised my graphics card has no fan. Is that a problem or...?

Also, I just read it might be power supply issue.

Haha, CEX. My PSU is 350W or 450W I think.
