I am looking for a laptop prised at about $700-$800 and saw these two laptops.I am wondering which one is better for what i am going to be using it for. I will be using it to watch youtube vids, check email, ect. I will also be using it to play moderate games such as mass effect 2, deus ex human revolution, skyrim. all will be single player. The newer titles can be run at lowest setting but older games such as oblivion, Mass effect 1, and borderlands would be run on high or medium. please help I have no idea which components are better so i can't compare them. one is DELL and one is HP here are the laptops.

Overall both systems are pretty similar, the Dell does have More memory but has a slower hard disk drive. Both laptops should handle new games although are not going to be able to run them at the highest settings. If it was me, the 5400 RPM (http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/r/rpm.htm) hard disk drive really turns me off of the Dell computer, and I'd probably go for the HP, even if it has 1GB less RAM. However, that being said both the RAM and the HDD could be upgraded, even to a SSD (http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/s/ssd.htm) drive.
If cost is an important factor for you since the computers are so similar you may just want to go for the cheapest laptop. Also, I'd read the reviews of people who've actually own the computer to help make your final decision.

The Dell has a better processor and graphics, and overall would run better for gaming. The hard drive, as stated above, could be an issue, but definately what you're getting as a base model would be better. You can always add more RAM or a different hard drive later on. You can't change a processor or graphics later on with a laptop.

Quote the post you're replying to to find out if the post is real or not. Should do it with every newcomer imho.
Nathan, can't you prevent transparent GIFs from being uploaded or perhaps ban .GIFs at all? I hate the idea of being tracked.

I am definitely blocking dubaa.info in my hosts.file.
A Google search shows that forum posts with those GIFs are all over the web.

can't believe I didn't think of that! Excellent idea.
Also the domain it forwards to: http://www.cuoda.net/
Good time to introduce RefControl for Firefox; https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/refcontrol/

That cuoda.net site looks like a very childish game site, kind of like Hello Kitty or manga or something, you know what I mean, sort of Asian, it's probably a dumb kid doing this.
-
Can't be that at all...
We never hardly get dumb kids posting on here...

This guy is more than a dumb kid, though. He's a menace!

His grammar is pretty lame, too. It should be "Which of these laptops is better?"

It shoud, it shoud...
