Mozilla is expected to release its Firefox 3.5 browser on Tuesday morning, a company representative said on Friday afternoon.
A key feature of the browser is the TraceMonkey JavaScript engine, which boosts performance and stability. Indeed, speed has been stressed as a key attraction of the upgrade.
A Private Browsing Model is highlighted as well, for control of private data. HTML 5 capabilities are included in such areas as encoded video.

Thanks for the heads up, Broni...

@ your service :)
-
I hope all of the add-on developers are ready.
-
Good to know, well need to prep myself. Still have 20+ tabs open and need to start going through them. :)
-
I hope all of the add-on developers are ready.
If not, Mr.Tech will take care of it.
I've been using FF 3.5 since early beta stages, and at the beginning number of add-ons were incompatible, but thanks to Mr.Tech all of them worked fine.

FF3.5 already out for some Mac user, they said it updated over weekend. Firefox has a lot of good addons that make things bit more convenient ....

Source??
Here's the link where I saw it ... http://lifehacker.com/5303760/mozilla-confirms-tuesday-release-for-firefox-35 (I quoted off somebody's comment there, look down in the page to find it)
and the reply to that said it was on the pc version too .... oddly.

I think I already have the full version on the mac. It updated over the weekend.
.
@dubmick: yep, same here on my pc. Firefox 3.5, I didn't get any betas either.
Go figure :P

Over last few days, RC1, and RC2 versions were released, so it must be it, not a final 3.5 version.
-
besides- that's a mac user. FF probably updated to 3.0.11 and a bunch of their add-ons weren't compatible. This is generally how mac users determine they have a new version of something- everything that used to work suddenly stops working.
That and their background changes and safari and itunes suddenly appear on their desktop again (they call their desktops "clicky spaces").

Foxy meter not compatible with this system, so didn't update it yet but got other systems updated.
-
I got FoxyMeter working on Firefox 3.5 with MR Tech Toolkit.
Tab Mix Plus 0.3.7.3 had a few problems so I tried Tab Mix Plus 0.3.7.4pre (http://tmp.garyr.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9864) and it seems to be working fine.

With Mr. Tech I have no problem with single add-on.
-
I updated to Firefox 3.5 and most of my add-ons were compatible, a few of my themes were not compatible but I really don't care. But what the one add-on that wasn't compatible and I really wished it was the PrivacyLocker add-on. And what is the Mr.Tech add-on, can it help me use older add-ons?
-
Yes, because it disables version compatibility check: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/421
-
Who came up with that MR. Tech tip that works so well ? ?
::)
-
Only youuuuuuuuuu, my friend ;D
-
I threw my elbow out patting myself on the back on that one ..... ;)

Watch for black eye tomorrow morning ;D
