Title: booting to the bios

Hello:
I have 2 hard disks both with windows xp on them.
one has a bug in system and the other is a clean install and is ok.
the problem is that the computer when cold booted defaults to the hard drive with the windows xp with the bug.
any ideas on how i can make it boot to the correct drive?
I have tried f9 and moved the correct one up the ladder but still same problem.

Well the obvious answer would be to remove the problem drive from your computer.

Have you checked the jumper settings on the drives?
Are you sure that the drives are in the correct postions on the IDE ribbon?

What are you trying to accomplish?

How are you moving it up the ladder ? ?
Normally you press the + tab til the drive you want to boot to is at the top of the list and then hit F10 to Exit and save changes...then press Y or Enter to re-boot...
