I like to burn TV shows onto re-writable DVD's so I can watch them on my TV. I have had no problem for the last two years, but now when I put in the disc my computer will not read it. When I click on the DVD Drive it just pops the disc out and says please insert disc. If I use just a writable disc....not re-writable, it works just fine. I only have a problem with the re-writable ones. It is a little expensive to use non re-writable DVD's, I live in Germany and watch ALOT of TV. I dont know what the problem could be. Any Help would be greatly appreciated. I have a Dell computer...I am at work now so I do not have the specifics.
Thanks.

Try another brand of blank media...
Other than that swap the drive into another working machine and see if it does the same thing ...if so it needs replaced.
They don't build them like they used to.

I actually cant use another type. I live in Germany on an Air Force Base, and they only carry one type. I dont think that the one's off base will work in my DVD player.

The PBX only sells 1 brand of blank media ? ?
Who is in charge of that unit ...i'll get things shaking out pronto.

I would appreciate it. We do not have a good selection at all. So, is my drive going bad?
