I have an empty toolbar in the taskbar. How can I remove it?(http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g222/MichaelTCT/Forums/Computerhope/taskbar.jpg)
-
Right click on taskbar, click "Toolbars" and see what toolbars are checked.
-
Just "Quick Launch" and "Language Bar".
But upon fresh reboot, there are two suspicious "The Language Bar" that make the taskbar even messier.
As soon as I uncheck them, they will disappear from the Toolbars list.

What new software has been installed lately ? ?
-
Not sure...it is my sister's laptop. She told me about it a few weeks ago and I only have a chance to look at it now as I'm back at home.
-
Do a quick lookaround in Add/Remove programs...

Bad news...my sister just told me that it has been like this for at least a year....
I see that there are many programs and games installed in the Add/Remove Program list. How can I know which programs are recently installed?
I've read on some forums that these "ghost" toolbars could be caused by malwares?

I've scanned the system with AVG, MBAM and SuperAntispyware 2 times each and now the "ghost" toolbar is finally gone.
I guess it must be some nasty malwares which escape the previous scans.
Thanks everyone !!!
