Title: White Macbook "Check Battery" Condition
Post by: xxXplicitP on August 06, 2010, 01:48:43 AM
Anyone know how to fix a "Check Battery" Condition on a White Macbook? I don't even have 200 cycles on it. One time my Battery health went down to 6% then it went back up to 90% now its at 76% when it was just at 89%. Anyone know how to fix it?

According to iStat Pro

It is a Early 2008 13 Inch Macbook

IStat Pro is not developed by Apple and might not be an accurate tool for checking hardware health.

Are you experiencing any problems with the charge?

The Picture I provided was from the System Profiler.

I haven't had any problems with the battery getting charged but I had once before less then a month ago that my battery just died out of no where and went down to 5% health then went back up to 92% health after I charged it.

Do you think calibrating the battery will help?

Yes, calibrating the battery can help, but usually when you see the "check battery" status you have a defective or dead battery.

If your laptop is still under warranty and you havent' even gotten 200 cycles out of it, then apple will replace the battery for free.
