I used to be able, in web page view, see a thumbnail
of an image file, (bmp and tif anyway), in the left hand
panel just under the file info section.
Now, for some reason, that feature has gone away.
I can still pick thumbnail view and see thumbnails for
the icons for bmps, but what I had was the ability to have the file names
in a list, but when I clicked on one, it's image would pop
up in that left hand pane.
I can't remember how I got it to work that way; does anyone
know how to get that feature back?
Thanks so much.

Merlin_2,
Thanks so much for your try at helping me on my lost
previews in Explorer. I went to the web page you
hyperlinked for me, and I tried the download utility,
and when that didn't work, edited the registry myself.
There must be something else wrong, because it still
doesn't work, but I appreciate the heck and gone out
of your attempt, and it probably puts me one step
closer to the solution.

jim load your win98se disk and chose browse this cd..in the add/on folder you should come across this pws folder click it and in there should an icon called setup click that this will re-install your system without losing any data...>or locate c:\windows\options \cab folder next to the scanreg icon is one called setup....i have given you both of these options one of them should work...you can always use this reg patch>http://aumha.org/regfiles.htm

Again, thank you so much Merlin_2.
I will try those two methods of restoring my
preview thumbnail mode that you suggested and let
you know ...
