Hello there,
My computer was acting sluggish and I noticed an odd pop up called winlgoon.exe (NOT winlogon.exe). It's shows up as a small empty file box in the upper left hand corner of the screen. When I try to close, an error pops up.
After a google search, I found the term malware. I only know enough to realize that's bad! I ran a Panda virus scan last night and thought that got rid of it, however, it popped up again today. Scanning again right now. Does anyone know what this is, how I could've gotten it and how I get rid of it?
Thanks!!

Download and run a scan with MalwareBytes

I will and let you know...thanks!!

Yep. If that doesn't do it you'll have to post a hijack this log in the malware forum here.

It worked! Fantastic! Thank you SO much...

kmb,
I am glad to hear you got it cleaned up however I would follow the below link, do all steps and post the requested logs so that a specialist can have a look and make sure all infections are truly gone.
