C++ is a programming language.
A programming language is used to write programs.
A program is a series of instructions.
An example of a program can be a game.
Yes, you can make any program with C++.
Yes, you can use C++ to make games and computer games.

In analogy, C++ is a language like English is a language.
We don't speak English just for poetry. We use it to talk, too.

Looks like they threw a lot of apostrophes at you as well.  Just trying to get rid of 'em wherever you can, eh?

no no, that would be if they owned something...

like, "Don't touch that doe's purse!"

plural for doe would be simply "doe" "look at all those doe in the field" not "look at all those does in the field". Plurals don't get apostrophes, but are used as a possessive. If you need to do both, you use a single apostrophe after the plural:

"That would be the Henrys' car"

Or, if the word in question already ends in s:

"Have you seen Bess' car", not "have you seen Besses car" Although I think pronunciation leaning towards the latter might make the sentence less ambiguous.

The apostrophe is for either contractions (to replace a letter or group of letters) or to indicate possession. It is never used to indicate a plural.

It's not the "modern" way. you were simply taught the wrong way for some reason. Some people are taught to spell Dillema Dillemna, despite it never appearing that way in any dictionary.

edit: well this certainly has nothing to do with C++, aside from the fact that we're still talking about language. At least there is that, I suppose.  ;D

Pretty much what I was going to say.  The rules for apostrophes haven't changed since you've been in school, Harry.  They just apparently taught it wrong.  I often wonder if that is the case today because it seems like many people still don't use them right.  But really, none of this is important; I just felt like giving you a hard time.

I just felt like giving you a hard time.  ;D i know you did , how kind  .

i think most young people ignore the basics of english , spelling and maths and then wonder why they do not pass exams or get a good job

That should be interesting, given your ability to use HTML and CSS.
