Title: Have uninstalled two programmes & tried to reinstall but system says error HELP

Computer : ZOOMSTROM
PRO Intel (R) Celeron (R) CPU 430  1.80 GHZ
1.00 GB
System Type 32 bit operating system
WINDOWS VISTA SP1

I did have NERO 7 installed & magic video converter both was working. Then for i do not know why NERO stopped say SHELL MANGER something .DLL was missing from files so unintalled & reinstalled but when reinstalling its says they is a file that still there so wont let me do this & the same sort of thing happened to Magic Video Converter for no reson just stopped so did the same as NERO  but saying there are files so cannot install when uninstalled please try again. I have never had this sort of problem before so PLEASE CAN YOU HELP ME OUT HERE. I am thinking i have to reboot the whole system just to clear the files away I HOPE I DONT NEED TO DO THIS. Any help would be great full. I have done a HIJACK LOG for you so you now what i have on my computer

I don't think, it has anything to do with your problem, but you're running two antivirus programs: Avira, and AVG. One has to go.

Secondly, is that log from after un9installing Nero?
If so, there are some Nero's leftovers, like: O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NeroFilterCheck] C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\Lib\NeroCheck.exe

HI i have used the uninstaller with the link you left me to use THANK YOU. But when tries to uninstall when i get so far into the uninstalling it stops and says "SHELL MANGER IS CORRUPT OR MISSING". I  have removed all nero stuff that i could find on the computer all that is left is a file which is  NEROXML now when i went to remove this file it said am i sure that i want to remove it so i have not because i do not know what this sort of file is i looked it up on google but got no real good info on the file so i will leave it up to you the expert for what i do next. When i did try 1st time when it read thr registry it found over 600 items on it to do NERO could not belive this

Open HJT log, checkmark two following lines:
- O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NeroFilterCheck] C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\Lib\NeroCheck.exe
- O23 - Service: NBService - Nero AG - C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Nero BackItUp\NBService.exe
Click "Fix checked" button.

Restart in Safe Mode, and remove NeroCheck.exe file from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\Lib, and whole Nero folder from C:\Program Files.

Restart in Normal Mode, and post fresh HJT log.

HI Broni

i dont know what i have done but i looked on to the startup menu & i unchecked the nero ag to start i do not know why it was still there because i fixed the HTJ 1s you told me to but was still there when computer turned on again but know it has reinstalled nero for me

   Give this a try! Go to Snapfiles.com and download Revo Uninstaller. This
software tracks the files of all programs and stores them so that when you
uninstall, it backtracks and ensures nothing is left behind, including scrapes.
  It's so thorough I was shocked when i search to find leftover files. By the
way, if it asked whether you want to restart your computer while uninstall-
ing, say no, because it will not complete all the steps. When asked if you
want to delete all files associated with any program you're attempting to de-
lete, select all and delete until it says finish.

i think you are right the nero does not work still so here is a HTJ LOG i will go over wot you have said i have tried the revo it found over 11000 files from nero wow but says only tick the bold ones to delete so that would mean me 1 by 1 ticking the boxes  :(

One Nero entry is gone.
Open HJT, and checkmark:
- O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NeroFilterCheck] C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\Lib\NeroCheck.exe
Click "Fix checked" button.

Restart in Safe Mode, and delete NeroCheck.exe from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\Lib

Restart in Normal Mode. Post new HJT log, including its header, this time.

i unchecked that 1 in 04 last time i now have done the revo uninstall i hope this has done everything now. I have cleared away all shortcuts anything to do with nero so i hope this is it now wishing

Looks good....

Disable Windows Defender, as it'll interfere with cleaning process:
   * Open Windows Defender
    * Click Tools
    * Click General Settings
    * Scroll down to Real Time Protection Options
    * Uncheck Turn on Real Time Protection
    * After you uncheck this, click on the Save button
    * Close Windows Defender

Open HJT, and checkmark:
- O2 - BHO: Google Toolbar Helper - {AA58ED58-01DD-4d91-8333-CF10577473F7} - c:\program files\google\googletoolbar1.dll (file missing)

Looks good.
Run CCleaner, create new Restore Point, and try Nero.
