Hi there, I am trying Xp and I get this screen it is now safe to turn off windows. I find that annoying if I have to push the power button to turn it off instead of it shutting down on its own. You have anything I can download to fix that?

Take at look at the Power Options in the Control Panel and see if APM is enabled.

Click on the APM tab.

I have it on shutdown, do you know when you have your shut down screen and it turns off on its own? I get that black screen that says its now safe to turn off windows. It stays frozen on that screen till I hit the power button and hold it for 3 sec before it shuts off =(

Is your PC capable of being shut down that way. Not all PCs are, but most newer ones are.
