Please be patience with me as I am not the most tech savy. :-[ My computer goes into sleep mode and will come out when I press keys on the keyboard. When I look at the monitor it gives the message that the monitor does not recognize or can not find the computers hard drive. I have checked and everything is plugged in as it has always been...nothing changed. Does anyone have an ideas as to what to try? Thx

okay I've heard alot of problems with the sleep mode on windows even I had problems with it. With mine after I got it out of sleep mode it would tell me that I had no cd in the dvd drive but I did. I have mine set to just the monitor goes into sleep mode. you could also turn off the hard disks by going into control panel then power options and select the time you want your monitor to go into sleep mode

Any suggestions on how to get it out of sleep mode so I can get to the control panel. I have tried turning it on and off...pressing F2 as it is trying to boot...
Thank you for your help and suggestions.

Where exactly is your computer stuck?

I have tried turning it on and off...pressing F2 as it is trying to boot..
This is why I do not use sleep mode. F2? Did you mean F8? If not shut off and start again tapping F8 continually.

You can enable or disable sleep mode by going into the setup screen. If you pay attention when you turn on your computer you should see a message that says to press a certain key to enter setup. Once you have entered setup check out your POWER options. Here you can disable sleep mode.
Post back if you need help with this.
