Title: RAID backup: 2 x 500GB to 1TB HD? (Is it possible?)

I have two 500GB hard-drives. I have two questions.

1. Is it possible in principle to backup two RAID drives to a single 1TB drive?

2. Would it be possible to use a freeware backup application such as Cobian (http://www.educ.umu.se/~cobian/cobianbackup.htm) for automated daily incremental backups of this nature?
