I am trying to install a program which requires the Microsoft net 3.5 framework(sp1). My 64 bit Vista Home Premium(sp2) won't install it. I have disabled firewall and anti-virus, etc with same results(error 1603) I looked at programs installed on my system and I have nothing on any version of net framework.

Thanks for the reply.
According to my info, Vista comes with installer 4.0, although I did a search for it and it didn't find it in c drive. check to see if I had hidden files also and there are many files under the amd64 directory listed as windows installer.

DLoad the installer they mention...forget about your Vista info as it may be innaccurate.

I had that problem, just on win7. I reinstalled it in compatibility for win XP. Works fine.

Worth a shot. Also run the installer as admin. Windows 7 has some funny permissions issues.
