Title: Free Disc Space
Post by: maffoo27 on March 25, 2010, 01:34:23 PM
Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me. On my C drive I have 53.68Gb of music in i-tunes, and no other large files. However, my computer is telling me that I have only 4.46Gb of space free out of 137Gb. I have run all the usual disc clean-ups, defrags and spybot searches, but nothing seems to make any difference.
Is there a way that I can find out where the disc space is being used?
I have a feeling that my music library must be duplicated somewhere in my hard drive, as there is no other explanation as to where all the memory has gone.
Any help would be gratefully received.
Thanks

Open my computer go to folder options in your toolbar options then click on folder options then click on view tab then click on show hidden files and folders. Then uncheck Hide Protected operating system files(recommended). Then go to C Drive right click on System Volume Information then click on properties then on securities then select Administrators then below click on advanced then click on under permissions tab click on  first option "inherit from parent the permissions............................ ........."then u can see all files in your drive C. But careful, delete the unnecessary files only.
