I have some serious page tearing, and it is getting rather annoying..how can I fix this? :report:
Here are my system specs: http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&safe=off&q=gateway+fx6800&cid=13314886346559392839&sa=title&os=tech-specs (http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&safe=off&q=gateway+fx6800&cid=13314886346559392839&sa=title&os=tech-specs)
What component should I upgrade to get rid of the screen tearing...BY THE WAY, if I try to set my graphic cards setting all the way, the game's shrubbery turns to this:

It happens when I move too quickly, and it gets rather annoying :D

Send your vid card back under Warranty...
-
Are you sure that it isn't the psu? And how would I send my gpu back under warranty? (Where can I find it)
-
You go to the Company website of the card that made it and register it in your name and they'll let you know what to do after that. or to the store you purchased it at. :-\
-
I don't think that those warranties apply because I bought a GatewayFX system with the components already in there (I bought it from Newegg) so I would get my warranty from there.. HOWEVER, I have another question..
Does the warranty come with the pc, or did I have to buy one?
-
The PC and all components should be under warranty...
I believe newegg carries 1 Year on pre-built PC's.

You seem to be talking about two problems. Your image does not show Screen tearing (at least, I see not Screen tearing in it); it just shows blurred objects in the image, which is not Screen tearing as defined at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screen_tearing.
-
Oops, I thought I made it clear that I had a two part question... THE PICTURE DOES NOT EXEMPLIFY PAGE TEARING!
-
Screen tearing? I have some serious screen tearing and I was wondering that if I bought a CorsairTX 750w, would this fix NOT ONLY the tearing, but problems with my graphics when I set the gpu settings to extremely high.
-
Why start a new Topic ? ?
The card will only perform up to it's specs...
Return that one as suggested and purchase a better card...
-
I can't buy a new "better" card because of my power supply... so that's really not an option right now.
-
But you just stated you were buying a new PSU..... ???
-
No I didn't? I said IF I bought a new psu...
-
Also, ,y computer tech guy siad it has nothing to do with the gpu, but the game itself (Sims 3). I'll probably be gettig the psu, rather than the gpu..
-
What's you PC specs? I don't think 720W is necessary ... what about Enermax 525W Pro 82+ it is much better than Corsair.

What are solutions for screen tearing?

Any solutions for screen tearing?
-
Could it be inadequate amount of memory/ram or whatever it is. Is it the psu, is it the gpu?
-
Topics Merged....
Good Luck.
-
That is kind of why I made another topic, but it got locked... so, instead of wishing me luck, could you offer any advice?
-
I already did...
Return the vid card under Warranty and upgrade/order a new one...

When you play the game are you running any other programs? Did you try to shut things off you don't need when playing the game?
Have you done any system maintenance lately? Did it ever work right? What has changed?
