Title: Is my power supply the reason for all this?
Post by: timtim41 on March 29, 2010, 10:04:50 AM
Hi, I have an HP Pavilion 576x Desktop computer at my home that uses an ATX motherboard. The problem with it is that it does not boot for crap, (not even knoppix). I used a voltage tester for the power supply on it and the P.G. value would always be different each time I disconnected and reconnected the ATX power connector. For example, it would say 280ms the first time, 0ms the second, then up to 380ms the third time. I believe that this is a major problem with my computer, but I just wanted to know what you guys think. Thanks :)

Borrowing 1 and swapping it in there would answer this question without spending any cabbage...

It is a power supply for 99.9%. Try another one and you will be sure.
