Title: Win7 PC Optimization?
Post by: iHeadbanger on March 29, 2010, 10:51:49 AM
Good day and thank you for reading. I was just wondering how I can make my Windows 7 laptop PC applications (startup times) and games (Flight Simulator X, etc.) run faster and more smoothly. Are there applications that I can download and run?

I don't want to overclock anything (too wimpy to take the risk), and my laptop specs are:
AMD Athlon TF-20 ~1.6 Ghz
2.0GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 3200

Thank you for reading and possibly responding.

Your laptop is, by today's standards, a little below average in terms of specs. You can add another gig of ram and/or use a usb drive for readyboost, but other than that no, there are certainly no apps that will help.

And, I wouldn't be surprised if he's maxed out on RAM.

I'm not sure how much RAM the computer can hold, but it came with 2GBs installed.

I'll look into buying more. Thank you very much.
