Title: Deleting E: Drive
Post by: MasterLegolas3 on July 13, 2005, 03:56:04 PM
I accidentally created an E: drive on my computer and now it has 3.50 GB in total compared to my C: drive which has 70 GB. How do I delete the E: drive and revert back to using my C: drive?

Fine, heres the info - my computer  didn't have sound - so i reinstalled windows xp. on the boot up screen, it said to make a new drive because reinstalling it in the same drive would be dangerous. i made it then knew i made a new drive with limited space and now i can't seem to delete it from the disk management or delete any of the files seperatly

Nooooooooooo, I need to get rid of my E: drive - I created it when my sound wasn't working, and now it is but now, I only have 3.5 GB on the E: drive, so I want to delete the entire E: drive  completely and convert to the C: drive where all my memory is stored! Also, another problem is, when I go to the boot screen [when Windows is starting up], I can't start XP on the C: drive even when I try to

That would be easy compared to this.

I think he's attempting to say.  He reinstalled Windows which created a 2nd partition (E) which is now the boot partition, original partition (C) is still there.  He wants to remove E and boot to C.

I say: modify the boot.ini file to boot from the partition you want.  Or, kill the whole drive and start over.

it's been TWO YEARS and your STILL using the same configuration? If this is somebody else, start a new thread describing your problem.
