Title: Constant Click Sound
Post by: bonusminutes on May 10, 2010, 05:14:44 PM
Im using a Gateway Laptop with Windows 7 running on it. Recently my computor began making the click sound very rapidly and non-stop when I click on the backbutton, or the go button on the address bar, or click any button that causes thatlittl *click* sound. This noise continues until another sound happens, such as a video playing, but only if its being run on that browser. Im using Internet Explorer.

Hi,

Please try the below steps to disable click sound in IE8 and Windows 7:

1. Start 'Control Panel'
2. Open 'Sound' icon
3. Click on 'Sounds' tab
4. Under 'Programs' options, navigate to 'Windows Explorer'
5. There select 'Start Navigation'
6. Just below 'Program'you should find 'Sounds:' drop down, there select None and click On.
