First, make sure your computer is fully booted and try again. If that doesn't work, then try holding the open button. If that doesn't work, go to (My) Computer, right click on the drive and choose Eject. If that still doesn't work, look for a tiny hole under the drive tray. If there is one, take a paperclip, fold it over, and push it (hard) into that hole. The tray will open. If there's no hole... you're out of luck. Maybe install new drivers.

Fleexy, "What if" this were a question instead of what appears to be an answer to some unknown post "that is the question" truenorth

This was originally posted in the FAQ section and i moved it...
FAQ's should be submitted for proposal...not just posted.

I'd love to. I can't see an edit button. ???

The ability to edit ones post is time limited. 60 minutes after original insertion i believe. Now, as it seems to be being lost i was really only trying to use your "What if... that is the question" to draw attention to what certainly seems to be an answer as opposed to a question. In the interim patio has come forth with an "explanation". I guess i should stay away from attempts at humour.truenorth

Does anybody know if the OP ever got their drive open?

I was posting an FAQ. I did use this though.
