Title: Can I burn CDs with Lite-on LTN486 (48x) CD-ROM Drive?

 Dear Sir,
 
 I am not able burn CDs on my Lite-on LTN486 (48x) CD-ROM Drive. In fact, the drive does not access at all new blank recordable CDs (Moserbaer).

 PC Details:
 Dell
 Pentium 4
 1.60 GHz
 512 MB RAM
 Microsoft XP Professional (w/o CD)
 Anti-virus - NPAV2010
 40 GB HDD

 Pls Help.

NO. According to your own statement " CD-ROM Drive" and the documentation available online it is a "read only device". Therefore it is not intended for "burning".truenorth

Nope. Go to newegg.com or ebay, and get yourself one for under $10, or a nice dvd burner for $30.
