I am having this same problem with emachine of similar age. (2-3 years) All fans are coming on but monitor reads "no signal"  When I unplugged cord it reads "cord unplugged" so I am pretty sure its not the monitor.     Went to BB aka geek squad  -  they advsd could be either on board graphics no longer working or power supply.  Installed both - no luck.   Now what?  Any suggestions?

I would also Ignore that, I have no clue why that would help.
