Title: Maintaining power to USB sound card while in sleep mode
Post by: Hafthorarinsson on August 26, 2010, 11:01:30 AM
Hi, I think there is no way to do what I want to do but I decided to post this anyway in case it is possible.

Here's the thing, I play the sound from my TV with 5.1 Creative speaker system via Creative USB Sound Blaster sound card.
If I put my computer to sleep the sound card shuts down.

So my question is....Is there any way that I can put my computer to sleep but still transmit full power to the sound card?

Basic system information....
Windows 7 Professional 32bit
MSI
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6400+ 3.20 GHz
4,00 GB Ram

Doesn't the computer need to be running to process the audio?
