Title: Win 7 clean install, driver and admin password problems
Post by: SheryllT on September 19, 2010, 11:22:59 PM
I did a clean install of Windows 7 on my laptop.  I was reinstalling the original drivers and software for my Sony Vaio.  It did a restart and when I tried to log in, I could not. I must have made a typo when I changed the Admin password.  I cannot use a CD boot as I was not done installing all of the drivers, it does not recognize the CDrom.  I cannot use an external CD drive because my laptop does not recognize it either. I downloaded a password recovery program but it asks for my Admin password to run it. At this point I am ready to hit my laptop and myself with a hammer.  Do I need to reinstall everything again?

Which means you are not sure about your password... upon logging in?
