Ive never used the mouse buttons - scroll left/right press and ive got some zoom in and out on the front part of the new mouse. They just dont work. Ive installed the software, but its like the computer doesnt detect them or something.. its been like that with every mouse and computer i had. What I am doing wrong? How to activate those buttons? ??? My mouse is hama m1130 http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41oUoOrTl6L._SL210_.jpg

scroll left/right press
So, you have a tilt-wheel mouse, right? Is this your first mouse with that feature? Have you ever used a tilt-wheel mouse before getting this mouse? Do you understand how that feature is supposed to work? Obviously, the window you're viewing shows no horizontal scroll bar at bottom, then you would have no need to use the tilt-wheel in that case and, if you did use it, it would do nothing.

10x for you answer, I didnt know what the scroll tint was for. Anyways I just tried the scroll tilt in paint and it didnt work (the picture was big enough and had an option to move left or right). Here is a screenshot of the program for the mouse http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/84/moused.jpg (http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/84/moused.jpg) buttons 6 and 7 dont work too.

The screen shot of your mouse settings panel does not look identical to your mouse. For that reason and the fact that the buttons are not working for you, I'm wondering whether you installed the right software for it. Did you get the software here (http://www.hama.de/portal/articleId*176388/action*2598;jsessionid=8BC287D8017999E643425AD5D3721D22.node_de_lin33)?

a disk came with the mouse. Thats from where I got the driver. I think its pretty like my mouse.. When I insert the disc it asks me for the version of the mouse. At first i got it wrong so uninstalled it and installed it again, but this time the right way.

So, is it working now or not?

Only the scroll.. the zoom in/out doesnt work :(

If you are expecting a game to automatically know to zoom-in/out with say, the mousewheel I'm afraid you are expecting too much.
To do that, you would need to bind the mousewheel up to zoom in- and the mousewheel out to zoom out. In games that don't have a concept of "zoom" you can often fake it by simply changing the FOV.
In general, the mousewheel is used in FPS games for changing weapons, not for zooming. Sometimes the mousewheel get's enabled for that function when you use a weapon with a scope or something (depends on the game).
Oh wait, we aren't talking about the middle mouse button/wheel, are we? Are we talking about some other scrolly wheel? Say on the right side of the mouse or something). In that case, the game may simply not support mice with such features. Most of the mouse-enabled games I play didn't let me bind anything to the extra two buttons I had on my old mouse.

Are you referring to mouse behavior when playing games, as BC_Programmer mentioned, or does zoom in/out not work in any application?
-
The zoom in/out buttons dont work ANYWHERE. Even when I try to remap the key settings it does not detect them when I click. Idk why...

Well, sorry but Idk why either.

For any number of mouse buttons aside from three buttons and a mouse wheel you almost always need the driver that came with it. check around the driver applets that came with the driver you claim to have installed, see if even that can detect the buttons (most have a little feature where you press the button and it lights up; similar to the applets installed with gamepads).

nah there is no such applet in the driver...

Did you get the zoom buttons to work ?
I've bought Hama M1130 and have the same problem.

Hello there. I recently bought a Hama m1130 mouse and I had the same problem. Luckily I found the solution. In case you couldn't resolve this here is the way to do it.
you go to http://www.hama.de/service/download/drivers/mice and search for this driver: 00052399 / Hama Wireless Optical Mouse "M2130".
I know it's not the same model but i think their drivers are universal. This should solve your problem. Have fun.
P.S.: the version of this driver should be 6.1 not 6.0. Have fun.
