Title: Application cannot be executed Virus Please Help!
Post by: Kola360 on November 18, 2010, 04:57:26 AM
ello, my problem is on my HP Pavillion Dv5 Notebook PC. Proccesor: AMD Athlon(tm) X2 Dual-Core QL-60 1/90 GHz. Service Pack 2, 32 bit Operating System, 3.00 RAM, On my laptop there are many alerts popping up, like an Antivirus software alert with the title " INFILTRATION ALERT" and at the bottom it says the Threat is Win32/Nuqel.E  and a Security Warning "Application cannot be executed. The file vdslr.exe is infected. Do you want to activate your antivirus software now?" When I click yes, it takes me to a website where I can buy an antivirus, if I click "no" then the same message pops up 10 seconds later with a different file listed.  I can not even access Google Chrome, now I have settle for Firefox. Every once in awhile a pop-up occurs and it takes me to "adult" sites that I have never been to. This is all stopped when I used Rkill, but I still cannot access Google Chrome and such. Please Help me. I have attached my 3 logs.

Open your Internet browser and clear your cache and cookies
http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000510.htm

1. Open HijackThis.
2. Click Do a system scan only
3. Check the boxes that correspond to the below lines.

    * o3 - toolbar: (no name) - {ccc7a320-b3ca-4199-b1a6-9f516dd69829} - (no file)
    * r0 - hklm\software\microsoft\internet explorer\search,searchassistant =
    * r0 - hklm\software\microsoft\internet explorer\search,customizesearch =

4. Once the above have been checked click the Fix checked button.
5. After fixed close HijackThis and reboot the computer.

As the computer is rebooting, boot it into Safe Mode (press F8 over and over until you get a menu and choose Safe Mode)

In Safe Mode run Malware Bytes again and do a full scan.

After this has completed reboot the computer and allow it to boot as normal.

This should hopefully correct everything.

This is a double-post. I've already responded to it in the other malware forum. Locked.
