Title: How do I reset password under Administrator?
Post by: gnewhart on December 23, 2010, 08:32:41 AM
I am trying to sign in as Administrator. I tried leaving the Password blank but no go. Tried a number of passwords and none work (I set up my HP Pavillion laptop with Windows XP (have updated to service pak 2) over 4 years ago and cannot find the password I used.

Can you tell me how to reset the password for my Administrator account?

Thank you for your help!!!! ???

You've forgotten a password you have been using for 4 years?

I can say I consistently use this utility with success.  I will not tell you how to use it, there are comprehensive instructions at the link provided.
