Title: thunderbird Email problems
Post by: Perseus7 on February 13, 2011, 07:02:39 AM
Hi there,
I use an Acer desktop and Advent laptop with exactly the same Email settings, and up until the time the hard disc was replaced in the desktop I had experienced no problems,
Since mydesktop was returned to me I now find that I cannot send emails. I have contacted my ISP and they say all is fine at their end.I have triple checked all thunderbird settings and they are the same as the laptop.  Receiving mail is fine, I can order items on the net. My O/S is windows 7 and I use Spyware Doctor with anti virus.
I keep on receiving the following Msg.
The Msg could not be sent using SMTP server relay.plus.net for an unknown reason. Please verify that your SMTP server settings are correct and try again or contact your network administrator.

I would be very grateful for assistance,

Regards

Syd Rowson

Why not export your email account from your laptop and import it to Thunderbird on the desktop?
