Title: Config.sys CD-Rom
Post by: 23rdHour on August 23, 2005, 03:15:10 PM
Hi guys,

I'm setting up a second hand laptop for a friend and have come across a CD-Rom problem regarding the config.sys file. Basically, there is no command line for it and I am unsure what to put in.

It's an LG crn-8241b removable CD-Rom.

Does anyone have an idea what path I should be using for it? And I am also confused to what driver I should point it to as it's running on a Windows 98 machine and I have read that no drivers are required...Im assuming "/D:MSCD001" as default.

Try:

X:\Win98
-- Where X is the CD-ROM station. Requires Windows 98 CD-ROM

Or

C:\Windows\system32

If neither contains any drivers, download them from the manufacturer.
