Title: Won't boot
Post by: Jeffrey Jones on August 27, 2005, 08:56:19 AM
Desktop won't get past the "last boot was unsuccessful" page.  Won't stay running long enough to reformat.  Completely shuts down after about 20 seconds.  Not overheating, no new hardware or software.

Since you reformat outside of Windows, the problem is hardware related if it shuts down during reformatting from the Windows XP CD or bootable diskette.

Just noticed that the video turns off before the computer.  Could the video card be overheating and shutting down the rest of the system?
