Well, have you done a Google to find more about Minecraft ?
Maybe you also look here:
ttp://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Minecraft_Wiki
Somewhere I saw the game was coded in Java.Maybe that doesn't mean much to you, but it may mean that real high def graphics are not needed.

take a look: http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=32

Minecraft isn't a particularly demanding game. Here are the minimum and recommended system requirements for it. As long as whatever you get meets or exceeds these requirements, you should be fine. If you're a gamer, just stay away from Intel video chipsets. They'll run some games, but not most very well. I'd recommend getting a laptop with an ATI or Nvidia video chipset if you're going to game on it.

Minimum:
OS: Windows XP/Vista/7
OpenGL: 1.4
Processor: 2.0 MHz (Single Core)
RAM: 1 GB(XP), 1.5 GB(7), 2.0 GB(Vista)
Hard Drive: 80 MB Free
Video: 128MB RAM

Recommended:
OS: Windows XP/Vista/7
OpenGL: 2.0
Processor: 2.5 MHz (Single Core)
RAM: 2 GB(XP), 3 GB(Vista/7)
Hard Drive: 256 MB Free
Video: 128MB RAM

My desktop:

Q8200 4 cores @2.33Ghz
8GB DDR2 RAM
NVidia 9800GT

Runs Minecraft at about 700fps according to fraps- only 40 according to the minecraft's F3 debug screen.

My laptop:

Satellite L300
T3200 2 cores @ 2.00ghz
4GB RAM
Linux Mint 10 and Windows 7 dual boot
Intel Media Accelerator (forget the specific model)

is playable, but has huge drops in framerate during chunk updates (that is, while night is falling or dawn), as well as when generating new chunks. THe way it plays on my laptop, I wouldn't recommend getting a machine with specs less than that; however, my laptop is also like 3 years old and probably less powerful than most laptops you can get today.

Generally speaking minecraft's speed is more CPU-bound than GPU-bound (graphics) because the graphics aren't fancy or use shaders and all that. Another important concern could be Hard drive speed, but as long as you don't get a 5400RPM drive it should be fast enough, and I/O only becomes a problem if you explore a lot of the world and generate a large number of chunks.

the asus G73/X77 series looks nice:http://usa.asus.com/Notebooks/Gaming_Powerhouse/G73Jw/#specifications (http://usa.asus.com/Notebooks/Gaming_Powerhouse/G73Jw/#specifications)

I have yet to find an offical asus.com website for the X77.

The Intel mobile core 2 duo line, especially anything below a T6570, is generally obsolete when compared to the i3 line now...
