I got this disc from a friend years ago and played it several times on my car audio system (http://www.cardomain.com/ride/366214/1996-pontiac-trans-am/page-4). But it does not play on my HP Compaq 6715b laptop.
I'm using Vista Business X64 and Windows Media player.
Error screen is attached:
The "Help tab" sends me to this WMP page (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/downloads/windows-media-player/plug-ins) that list sofware I can purchase "$" to play this disc = I have no intention of buying anything else from Microsoft just to access these type of files.
So I'm asking you guru's for a solution. If that means using a different media player, then I welcome suggestions.
As always, thanks for the help!!! :)

For a starting place, try the free Format Factory program. Slow, but it is free. It should convert the file into either WAV or MP3 format.

I've got the software downloaded and installed but I guess I'll be a while figuring out what I'm supposed to do with this control panel so give me a few minutes. I'll post back.
Thanks Geek9.

Try VLC Multimedia Player (http://www.videolan.org/). You can use this to play different audio formats and play directly from disc via the File or View menu for playlist.
