"sus" as in "Jesus"
"Ay" as in the letter "A" or in "Jay"
"Aye" pronounced like the letter "I"
The local computer store guy pronounces it as Aye-soos. My dad pronounces it Ahck-soos My mom pronounces it Asses. I pronounce it Ay-sus. I have heard random people pronounce it all of the other options.
-
LOL. I've wondered about this. I usually think either Ay-soos or Ay-sus.
BTW, you your poll lists Ay-soos twice.
-
That's got to skew the poll results--2 kicks at the same can. ;) truenorth
-
What about Ah-sus?
-
None of the above.
I say ay-zeus.
-
Opps, I voted wrong, aye sus, but then I re-read your post.
"Aye" pronounced like the letter "I"
If aye is pronounced like letter I then I vote for ay sus.
But, since when is "aye" pronounced like the letter "I"? ???
But, since when could if follow the directions correctly anyway? ;D

But, since when is "aye" pronounced like the letter "I"?
Always.

Maybe that's why they put me in a special speech class when I was in second grade, although during that hour I was mainly interested in sneeking out of class to snag some of those sugar cubes beside the coffee maker in the teachers lounge. :-[

Actually, it is pronounced two ways but I believe it's more commonly pronounced like the letter "I". Reference: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/aye

The best version I've ever seen is SNSV... Why?
Try to read ASUS logo upside down.
What's the worst - it was invented by a girl who really think it was a computer brand!!

A-SOOSE sounds rather... um... mentally inferior.

She probably was using her 333 tablet upside down.

She said "eh-soos"...

However you choose to pronounce it (I'm with patio), I just set up the system described below(recovery disks,anti-virus,Office,Mbam,Superantispyware, etc.,etc.) for my young grandson. I'm quite sure that he will be quite happy to receive this notebook as a surprise birthday gift. His first PC. No, I didn't buy it for him, but wouldn't take much coaxing for me to keep it. ;D overthehill

Well then don't mention this thread to him and I'll bet that later on, (when he gets it up-and-running better than any of us old folk could), and you ask him, "grandson, how do you pronounce the name of your computer?", he'll let us all know! ;) ;D
