Title: Transferring Address Book in Outlook Express?
Post by: program not responding on November 25, 2011, 01:40:03 AM
Dear Forum,
My OE address book copied as vcard files. When I go to import them in my new computer, using the same version OE, it wants to see Wab files, and has no option for Vcard. Strange...
Does any one know what is going on?
Thanks!
Mike

Are you doing a transfer from Windows P to Windows 7?
Did you read this?
Windows Easy Transfer (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/products/features/windows-easy-transfer)
If it was from XP to XP there should not be a problem.
Is this what you did?
Moving Your E-mail to Another Computer (http://www.directron.com/movmail.html)
Trying to just copy some files from one place to another does not do the job. You have to use the guidelines given by Microsoft and others.

The later link above is highly recommended.

Thanks Geek. You are a wizard!
The second link did the trick. I got ahold of some bad instructions!
