Just bought a generic battery for my Dell Laptop. Although it works well, it won't charge. Any options here?

The battery indicator on you Dell has to be calibrated.
Does it have any kind of warranty? How do you know it does not charge? If it runs the laptop for more that five minutes, it still has a charge. Did it fully discharge and did not take a charge?
So-called 'generic' battery packs are close, but not equal to the original.

If you just purchased it, contact the seller.
