Title: combining files

is it possible to combine 2 files. such as 2.avi files or other video files?
next question, is it possible to edit an mp3 file, like chopping a few seconds off the end or the beginning? I have win xp pro.

Use Windows Movie Maker or something similar.

You can you audacity to edit music files, http://audacity.sourceforge.net. However, by default it only exports audio into .wav format so you will need an additional download they have on the site to export in .mp3 format.
