I have a Dell laptop Vostro 3550 Windows 7. I have been using Skype for over a year and now, suddenly, whenever I log on it starts and then the message:
"Skype has stopped working" pops up. I have tried uninstalling a reinstalling to no avail. Any suggestions??
Thanks,
Peter

Hi,
The solution, that worked for me, to this problem was to install the Skype Beta version.
It has worked flawlessly ever since.
Thanks

Sounded more like you need a reinstall than an actual beta version. I'd recommend switching back to the regular release ...

But he said...

And I tried this solution for me also... uninstalled and installed few times, and never solved the problem... But many people in the link that truenorth posted were satisfied
which is installing the beta version... it's true that i never like the beta versions.... but we need skype sometimes...

Hm, weird. Maybe it's a bug in their current software. You'd think a company like Skype would fix that ASAP, though.

They have a captive audience...no need to work at it til it gets real bad... :P
