Title: Fuzzy weird screen !! Maybe graphic card issue...
Post by: nasroo7 on January 10, 2012, 10:12:49 AM
Hi,
I just uploaded that video on YouTube so you can see what's I'm talking about:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUlNncPN8bE

The screen is kind of fuzzy, and vibrating...

Windows couldn't boot, it got stuck into the BIOS. (The screen was doing the same thing)
I put another working HDD and installed Windows in it.
As you see it's the same thing.

The screen vibrates and does that at the very beginning when the power button is pressed.

I'm thinking a graphic card issue, and since it's integrated to the motherboard... Maybe motherboard replacement is needed.
The computer is a desktop HP pavilion, with Windows XP

does anyone seen this before? or have any suggestion?
Thank you for your help :)

It could be the monitor, try it on another computer.

tried it.
The screen is fine.
Plugged other computers on it, and works fine.
Plugged another good monitor to that computer... and vibrates

Check the connector on the motherboard.   A dirty or bad connection will cause the problem described.  It could be the onboard video chip or the RAM, onboard video shares the computer memory (RAM).  Just trying to isolate the problem.

I've had similar effect caused by a bad connection, i would check connections first and if possible try different one
