Can I use my HP 4L with my Mac 1400c laptop?  How?

The HP 4L only uses IEEE 1284 (Enhanced Parallel Port). Unfortunately no Apple computer has a Parallel Port. Although you may be able to use a Parallel Port to USB cable to connect to your computer it is not likely that the printer will work because it still needs compatible software / drivers for the Apple Macintosh Operating System which are not available.

Therefore to answer your question, we are unaware of any way to get this printer to work with your computer.
