Title: Need help (:
Post by: Dnang3l on January 25, 2012, 09:45:51 AM
Hey my name is Victor and I'm having difficulties with connecting to my network from my Ipod. This is also an issue for other wireless devices such as labtops, and I need someone's help. First I would like to say is that I Diagnosed the problem and now I need a solution.

When I try to connect to my Network I get this message

Later I diagnosed the problem and got this

What does it mean when it says, ''More than one device preforming address translation''? and how can i solve it?
If I can get some help that would be great.

P.S additional information will be given if needed.

Did you reset your router and then try again?

Is NAT turned on?

I'll reset my router now and how do you know if NAT is turned on or off?

EDIT: I restarted my router, still no good.

The router manual should be able to tell you how to get to the NAT settings.

What is your network set up like?

Is the modem plugged into the correct port on the router?

How many routers? What type of router? ADSL or cable? How many computers connected?

I think both your ADSL modem and Linksys Router are trying to perform NAT. Only one device should be doing so.

I'd suggest that your router does it, see if you can disable NAT on the ADSL modem. Are you sure your modem is not a router?

See the manual of the devices in question. First verify that NAT is turned on in both devices and then turn it off in one.

How do you diasble NAT?

Read the manual ... If the devices are capable of NAT, it's in the manual. If not, just go looking for an option that says "Enable" or "Disable" and "NAT" (Or Network Address Translation.)
