Title: Computer (battery) turned off and now my sound doesn't work!!
Post by: annalena on May 21, 2012, 03:23:31 AM
For about 2 weeks ago my battery on the computer (ASUS Eee PC) got low and the computer turned off. When I turned it on again the sound on the computer didn't work, the sound symbole on the right corner on the bottom has a red X sign. I've just recovered my computer to fabric-new and the sound still doesn't work and the red X symbole is still there. I don't know what to do?  :(

PS. When clicking on the sound symbole with the red X on the right corner in the bottom it says "identifying problem..." and then it says that it couldn't identify the problem...

Without knowing specifically which model of the EeePC you have, all I could suggest is checking the BIOS and making sure the integrated devices are still enabled.

How do I check the BIOS to check if the integrated devices are enabled? It's a ASUS Eee PC 1005PX

Tap the "F2" key as the computer is booting. That should get you into the BIOS.
